What is XPreOrder?​

XPreOrder is a flexible preorder management solution that allows merchants to accept and manage preorders for products β€” whether they’re in stock, out of stock, or coming soon.

What platforms does XPreOrder support?​

XPreOrder currently supports Shopify, but it's designed with broader eCommerce support in mind. More platforms may be supported in future versions.

Do I need coding knowledge to use XPreOrder?​

Not at all. XPreOrder works out of the box for most stores with a plug-and-play setup. However, developers can extend and customize it further using our configuration and custom JS/CSS features.

Can I show preorder badges or buttons?​

Yes! You can show badges, preorder buttons, estimated delivery times, and countdowns β€” all customizable from the dashboard.

Does it support partial payments?​

Yes. XPreOrder supports full payments, partial payments, and preorder discounts β€” all configurable per product or globally.

Can I restrict the number of preorders?​

Absolutely. You can set limits based on time, product quantity, variant, or manually toggle availability.

Does it work with slide carts and quick views?​

Yes. Our widget system works across multiple storefront elements including:

  • Home page
  • Collection page
  • Product page
  • Cart and slide cart
  • Quick view popups

Can I schedule or delay preorder fulfillment?​

Yes. You can choose from:

  • Hold until stock arrives
  • Fulfill ASAP
  • Specific future delivery date
  • Anchor shipping cycles

What happens when preorder stock arrives?​

You can manually or automatically transition preorders into normal fulfillment workflows, depending on your platform and inventory management system.

Can I customize how the app looks?​

Yes. You can add custom CSS and JS directly to fine-tune UI components, or use our visual widget editor to change style, color, and behavior.

Does it support translations?​

Yes, XPreOrder supports full text translation. You can customize the language for all customer-facing elements.

Do you store my customer or payment data?​

No. We do not store sensitive payment or customer data. We only retain metadata needed for preorder management.

How can I request data deletion?​

You can email us at [email protected] to request data deletion. We also comply with Shopify's data privacy requirements.

My preorder button isn’t showing β€” what should I do?​

  • Make sure the product or variant is enabled for preorder.
  • Confirm that the app is active in your theme.
  • Make sure the preorder has been started and didn't finished yet
  • Clear cache or preview the product from an incognito browser.
